Hillman Alumni Nursing Network
Founded in 1991 by the Alex Hillman Family Foundation, the Hillman Scholars Program is dedicated to promoting excellence in nursing and benefits nursing students at three schools:
In exchange for full tuition support, Hillman Scholars make a commitment to work in direct patient care nursing roles in New York City and Philadelphia for the first two years following their graduation. Thanks to Mrs. Hillman's tremendous generosity, by 2004 the Hillman Scholarship Program for Nursing had graduated more than 700 extraordinary nurses. The Hillman Alumni maintain strong ties to each other through the Hillman Alumni Nursing Network (HANN). HANN holds an annual luncheon reception at the New York Penn Club, where current scholarship recipients have the opportunity to meet with Mrs. Hillman and to celebrate their achievements. In addition, HANN helps provide former and current Hillman Scholars with a variety of networking and social opportunities as well as career support. The Program boasts over 150 alumni, many of whom have continued to work in New York City. |
