Registered Nurse Licensure Requirements
In order to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State, a candidate must be at least 18 years old, graduate from a nursing program approved by the State of New York, meet the requirements of the New York State Board of Nursing, not be in default of a Title IV loan or owe a repayment, and pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN).
