The Curriculum

The curriculum is updated continuously to reflect changes in nursing education, practice and research.  It is the student’s responsibility to complete all courses necessary for the Associate Degree (68 credits). 

The School has established a dual-degree model with Pace University that allows our students to enroll in Pace nursing and liberal arts elective courses while still enrolled in our program, thus accelerating their progress toward their BSN degree.    (www.pace.edu/schools/nursing)
  • 15 hours of Theory = 1 credit
  • 45 hours of Lab/Clinical = 1 credit
  • Elective courses may be taken through Pace University during any semester of the program.  Prior arrangements must be made with the Assistant Dean.
  • Supervised Internships are available on a limited basis.

THREE-YEAR PLAN  
 
 
The three-year plan is ideal for students entering straight from high school and individuals who prefer to complete the nursing program at a slower pace.  Year I is dedicated to meeting the curriculum’s science and liberal arts pre/co-requisite courses.  Nursing courses will be completed in Years II and Year III.   Courses are offered Monday through Friday between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM.
